Because I believe it's in tragic situations that people reveal their love, I wish, with this film, to move and encourage people to reflect on their past regrets. Our memories shape us and allow us to better understand the individuals we've become. While some of these memories are comforting and uplifting, others can haunt and distress us. And when the majority of our life is behind us, we must find a way to confront what cannot be changed.

With "L'Hypermnésique," I aim to accurately and subtly illustrate the impact memories have on the human experience and convey to people that what matters might not be living the most impressive life but appreciating the pure and simple moments that will one day form authentic and personal memories. Our best memories are often the simplest. If they are not extraordinary, at least to the average person, these moments are engraved in our minds as the beautiful ones in our lives. Perhaps it was simply because they happened in a place that made us happy with the people we loved.

About the Project

"L ´Hypermnésique" is a global collaboration.

Our team has been assembled from around the world, with nations such as France, India, Germany, Romania, South Africa, Lebanon, Armenia, Portugal, Brazil, Turkey and many others. Leveraging the diversity of their talents and experiences, this partnership facilitates creative input and innovative solutions to production challenges.

Moreover, our team was made up of out group of university friends, which created a very warm and almost family-like atmosphere. This made the experience deeply joyful and fulfilling, as I was surrounded by loyal and trustworthy people who were deeply committed to this project. I had the chance to do what I love most with the people I care about the most, and it remains an unforgettable memory for me and maybe the most valuable thing in this industry.

About the Team

Gaby and Jo Beaumont, an elderly couple, have spent their lives together but never had children, a dream left unfulfilled that has haunted Gaby for years. When Joe loses his memory, she sees an unexpected opportunity: the chance to rewrite their story. Little by little, she invents memories of a life they never had, making him believe they accomplished all their dreams and lived a fulfilled existence. If it’s too late to change the present, perhaps she can still rewrite the past.
